Will the Middle East ever live in peace?

Europe and the Middle East’s failure in controlling arms trafficking raises serious questions on their intention of combating terrorism

Commoners in Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan are having a difficult time whereas rich businessmen and politicians are enjoying the security and profits out of wars. None of the neighbors of Syria seem to be interested in putting efforts to stop terror attacks and establish peace again, in fact, they are supplying weapons and other war materials to terrorists just for the sake of money.

A corrupt businessman Tony Abi Saab of Lebanon is in the wanted list of the US. He owns a front company Brescia Middle East, an international arms dealing company which was indicted for defrauding the army of 5 million dollars, money laundering, and smuggling weapons. BME imports weapons to Lebanon mainly from the Italian firms—Beretta and Tanfoglio to divert the route of weapons to Syria, Afghanistan, and Iran to the terrorists.

He is an illegal arms dealer who through his ghost companies routes the weapons to the regions of terrorist organizations. The US investigation teams (CIA, FBI and the US Army) forfeit weapons manufactured in Russia, Germany, and Lebanon from the terrorists in Syria and Iran. Most of the weapons found at the war zone were manufactured either completely from Tony's companies or partially. His company Brixia produced spare parts for the weapons and smuggled them to countries throughout the Middle East for reassembly and sales. Tactica Ltd, another company of Tony, was purchasing arms commercially and selling them in the black market to terrorist groups in Syria. BME, Tony's front company, was doing money laundering, operating fake companies and wiring money the share of the profit to his business partners and associates.

There are many people like Tony Abi Saab who are fuelling violence and conflicts in the war zones. They are roaming freely, Governments would have to recognize such culprits and punish them before it’s too late.
