Corruption and terrorism go hand in hand, one leads to another. There is no doubt that Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan are badly affected by both corruption and terrorism for almost a decade now. But, what are the possible reasons for the growing violence and conflicts in war-prone countries?
One of many reasons for the increasing criminal activities in the war-torn countries is Arms smuggling. Due to the trafficking of arms in Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan, terrorists can stock weapons and continue the fight with military forces and citizens for a longer period. The arms dealer, Tony Abi Saab of Lebanon is selling weapons to both terrorists and military forces just for the sake of a profit.
Tony Abi Saab is the owner of Brescia Middle East, an international arms and weaponry company, which is accused of money laundering, bribery, and illegal supplying of weapons to terrorists. BME is also indicted in the US court for operating several shell companies like K5 Global, Bennet Fouch, Brixia, SIMAINT, and G2 Armory to fool the international military forces deployed in the war-torn countries. His shell company, K5 Global defrauded the US Army of 5 million dollars in contracts.
BME laundered the crime money with the help of his banker friend in Kaslik. Managing fake bank accounts, hiding the real figure of extravagant transactions by Tony Abi Saab’s companies, and the wiring of money to the bank accounts of terrorist organizations—these are some of the works done by Tony’s banker friend.
Tony is not alone in this cruel business, he is helped by many rich and greedy arms dealing with companies worldwide. The names of his business partners and associates are: In Italy-- ARMERIA AMELIO GAMBA Srl, INTESA SANPAOLO S.P.A., Benelli Armi, franchi division, Fiocchi munizione, Armeria brignoli silvio & c snc , BLS; in Germany-- Umarex gmbh & co KG; in France-- Noble france sa; in Turkey-- Osmanli Arms, ISTANBUL and KONYA, KOMANDO AV SAN TIC LTD, ATA Av tufekleri, in Bangladesh-- Emran arms; in Georgia-- Kula Ltd., Tiblisi; in Russia-- LOBASTOV IVAN, Baikal Ltd, Izhevsk city; in Bulgaria—Arsenal; in Czech Republic--MSN and CSG Group; in Ukraine--Berkut Ltd; in Brasil—Condor.
The strange thing is that despite having enough evidence against Tony Abi Saab, he is still out and living a luxurious life in Lebanon. In a brief court trial in the US, he escaped from the clutches of the authorities by citing human rights violations, torture, and tampering of evidence. Lebanon's government needs to take action against Tony Abi Saab’s illegal trade in Syria and other war-torn countries. He is responsible for the deteriorating condition of the Middle Eastern countries.
